Last month, Kiko launched one of the most beautiful packaged make-up I’ve seen. Wanderlust, tne new limited edition collection by Kiko Milano, is inspired by an irrepressible desire to travel and explore, by the enthusiasm for exploring unique sun-kissed landscapes, the excitement of outdoor adventures, and an irresistible beauty with an overwhelming personality. The collection was designed by futurist designer Ross Lovergrove. The instantly recognizable trademarks of the designer’s work consist of a strong visual impact and the special combination of factors underlying his designs. The collection is a combination of elegance, sensuality, femininity, cheerfulness and practicality. The package is combining a three-dimensional digital pattern in golden-coral pink, in compact shape, offering a new tactile experience. I would actually touch them every minute, they are so pretty that would deserve to sit on my makeup table, not in my case. The new makeup features warm hues with brilliant golden coral accents to enhance the charm of elegant femininity. The Wanderlust products are collectibles, both for their effectiveness and for the utmost refinement of their packaging. I have tried some of the products over the past month and they are not only affordable, but also amazing! The ultra-fine Desert Dunes baked bronzer is one of my favourite. I have been using it every day for a sun kissed complexion. It offers a sophisticated and buildable tan. Enriched with jojoba oil, it has a delicate fragrance of vanilla. And it is also huge, will last for so long!
Another favourite from the collection is the Desert Dunes Trio Baked blush, which combines different shades to provide a variety of results by joining three individual effects, and one total effect achieved by blending the various shades together. It brightens the skin and it lasts all day. The Sunshine powder foundation is ideal for combination skin, perfect for summer, in my opinion. When used dry, the foundation offers light coverage and a semi-matte finish; when applied with a damp sponge, it provides greater coverage and it is really easy to pop in your clutch for a night out. When it comes to eyeshadow, the new creyons are so creamy and versatile. In The Shade Eyeshadow and Kajal can be blended on the eyelids, applied along the contour of the eyes, like a pencil, or used as a base for powder eyeshadows, accentuating their colour intensity. You would love this product! The Endless Sky Volume Effect Mascara has really impressed me. I have used only Lancome Drama for the past 8 years, but Kiko has converted me and it is half the price! This mascara provides volume, and structure. It does not clump, and the eyelashes look defined, volumized and naturally intense. The special brush has a mix of different fibers designed to load the product and separate the lashes. The fine tip reaches has been designed to make it possible to reach the tiny eyelashes in the corner of the eye. Fab!Now, let’s move onto lips, my favourite subject. The Mirage Lip Stylo has an innovative formula, combining the glide-on colour and application of a lipstick with the shine of a gloss. How wonderful is that? Its consistency is creamy while long-lasting and ultra-shine. The result is bright and seductive. It comes in 16 shades, one for every occasion you could possibly think of. Also the lipsticks easily snap open and closed thanks to their magnetic closure.
The product which everyone raves about is the Heatwave Lip Oil. Nourising, tinted lip oil is a lip treatment that combines softness, hydration and an ultra-bright finish. It glides on easily, thanks to the unique applicator and leaves the lips soft. It doesn’t stick to your hair, which is an absolute miracle. I like to pop it on top of my lips before applying my make-up, this way by the time I finish, my lips are hydrated and ready for any matte lipstick. The Wanderlust clutch is one of the most beautiful and elegant make-up containers I’ve seen! I’ve actually used it as an actual clutch at an event. It is way too beautiful to sit inside a bag. Sophisticated and spacious, it features the incredible design of the Wanderlust collection.
There you have it, my review of some of the products in the Wonderlust Kiko Milano collection. I can honestly say I am using their products every day, even though my makeup kit has a lot of high end products, there is no comparison. Except the price, which is absolutely afordable!
