Grilled pineapple and banana with mascarpone and toffee cream

I planned this dessert a few months back, but never felt it was the right time for it. Today was a rainy day and trapped in the house, I knew this was it. After a few minutes, it was ready. I always know how a dessert will taste, but I had no clue with this one. My sister-in-law tried the first bite and the moment she closed her eyes I know it was delicious. I had to make sure so tasted it myself. Now I am sharing the recipe with you!

It is a decadent, fresh dessert and ready in a heart beat!

Instructions

1. Heat 2 tbsp of sugar in a pan, leave for a few seconds then add the pineapple. You can choose fresh one and dice it roughly, or canned one. Fry the pineapple for a few minutes, shaking the pan so it won't stick. Leave on a plate.

2. Use the same technique with the rest of sugar and sliced banana.

3. Moist the sponge in pineapple juice and some drops of lemon juice and layer at the bottom of two cups. Arrange on top the fried fruits. Continue with mascarpone cheese, toffee/caramel cream and decorate with fresh strawberries. Serve immediately.
